Enrichment
We offer a wide range of enrichment opportunities for pupils in all year groups as part of a broad and balanced curriculum to complement their academic studies. This creates the potential for well-rounded individuals, who are intellectually curious and more interesting to universities and future employers.
We run a series of external speakers, both for the whole school and tailored to specific departments, and a Gresham College lecture series. Pupils have the chance to participate in trips, events and national competitions, including the Independent Schools Association poetry, music, art and coding competitions, the Peter Jones Tycoon Challenge, Business Language Champions events, Science Olympiads and the UKMT Maths Challenges, to name but a few. Clubs form an integral part of the enrichment opportunities available to pupils and a wide range are available – before school, at lunchtime and after school.
Pupils are also offered the chance to complete a Higher Project Qualification (HPQ) in Year 10, while the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) is a compulsory subject for Year 12, allowing them to develop their independent learning skills and academic rigour in preparation for their future studies.
All that is on offer has a clear and tangible link to the Radnor House Laureate and provides pupils with ample opportunity to add to their Meta-Mirror content, demonstrating the level of engagement the individual pupil has with the enrichment opportunities available.
