AEP: 'The Importance of Franglais in a Time of Brexit'
Our Spring Term Academic Enrichment Programme (AEP) launched today with the topical theme of Brexit and the Importance of Franglais!
Last Tuesday we were delighted to welcome Shelia Lenon and Andrew Lenon QC to Radnor House. They provided our pupils with a fascinating insight into the value of studying languages at university, the impact these transferable skills have in the workplace and the role their love of languages has played in their distinguished and varied careers.
Shelia was able to give pupils an insight into the many opportunities that have opened up to her during her time as a radio producer at the BBC. Similarly, Andrew discussed how his multilingualism has given him the edge in the corporate world, but also the lasting friendships he built and the adventures he had whilst studying abroad.
All in all, a compelling case was made for the importance of having another language for future opportunity and success.
